Hi, Welcome to DezineTech. My name is Rob Anderson and I teach Design Technology @ ISM in Manila, Philippines. DT is a great
subject and students love being here. It is a very popular subject within our school. Here at this site you can find all the different projects and the Design
outlines, assessments and other helpful stuff to help you get the most out
of our subject. Look through this website at what DT can offer you ....... We are using technology to develop the integration and evolution of our digital portfolios and this is transforming the way students are learning DT. It is still a "Work in Progress" so apologies for any incomplete sections......

Middle School are looking at combining two different research areas to create a new product that has its own design style and market.
In our first project we are investigating, designing, creating and evaluating a simple product and seeing how their design is integral in creating a pretty useful and individually designed project.
Memphis was a Design movement in the 1980's that threw the design handbook out the window. Year 9 students look at the key features and identity of this historical design movement to create their own Memphis Product.
For our third project, students are designing and creating a product for a specific market. Aiming to satisfy the needs of that market by creating a toy that both educates and entertains children from the ages of 2-5 years.
Look on the Biomimic page for the Student Projects and an outline of the Biomimicry Design Project so you can see where the students begin the whole cycle of design. Also have a look at the Biomimcry Inspired Websites to help with your knowledge and understanding of this rapidly expanding niche of the design world.
